Head of ICRF Department for Chechnya dismissed
Sergey Deviatov has lost the post of the head of the Chechen Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) under a decree of Russian president. His term of office was two years.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Sergey Deviatov, a native of the Sverdlovsk Region, headed the Investigating Department (ID) for Chechnya of the ICRF in January 2014, after the dismissal of his predecessor, Sergey Bobrov.
The decree of the Russian President Vladimir Putin on Deviatov's dismissal is posted on the official web portal of legal information without specifying the reasons.
The resignation of Deviatov is a scheduled measure; he completely satisfied Ramzan Kadyrov, while Sergey Bobrov tried to deal with cases of torture in Chechnya, the RBC (RosBiznessConsulting) reports referring to its republic's law enforcement source.
