Yashin arrived in Grozny to collect materials about Ramzan Kadyrov
Ilya Yashin, Deputy Chairman of the People's Freedom Party (known as "Parnas") has arrived in the Chechen capital, where he is collecting materials for a report about the head of the republic Ramzan Kadyrov. The provisional title of the report is "Threat to National Security"; the end of the work is scheduled for February 23.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 12 Ramzan Kadyrov stated that the non-systemic opposition should be treated "as people's enemies", who are trying to undermine the situation in Russia.
Human rights activists have called Kadyrov's words about the non-systemic opposition as reckless and dangerous. Maxim Reznik, a Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg, found it necessary to check Kadyrov's words for extremism.
"I continue collecting materials for report about Kadyrov; I arrived in Grozny; people here are friendly. Details will follow tomorrow," Yashin wrote in his Twitter.
According to his story, the report will cover Kadyrov's biography since early 1990s, his role in the events in Chechnya, as well as the current situation in the republic.
On December 14, 2015, Yashin sent a letter to Grozny, saying that he was preparing an expert report about the work of the head of Chechnya, and offered Kadyrov to meet and respond to "a number of questions."
It should be noted here that activists of the "Parnas" Party also demand to question high-ranking Chechen officials and power agents, including Kadyrov, on the murder of Boris Nemtsov, who was a co-chairman of the "Parnas".
