In Ingushetia, 172 low-income families receive food during charity action
On January 22, Ingushetia held the action of charity, including the distribution of food to low-income families. In total, volunteers distributed 172 packages of food. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Magomed Tarchiev, a staff member of the "Tesham" Charity Foundation.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since 2015, the "Tesham" Charity Foundation holds such a one-day event every three months on a voluntary basis. Large stores of Karabulak, Nazran, and Malgobek collected food for low-income families.
"A month prior to our action of charity, we attract volunteers, begin collecting the food, and appeal to people with a request for help. A week prior to our event, we start to form food packages with the help of volunteers. And then, we determine the date of the distribution of food. Traditionally, it is a Friday. On this day, Muslims should visit mosques... And after their visits to mosques, people seek to help others," Magomed Tarchiev has said.
Besides, according to him, the mosque is a place where it is easier to inform the people about the action of charity. "After the sermon, Imam announces that the action of charity is being held today and asks everyone to help," said the member of the "Tesham" Charity Foundation.
Magomed Tarchiev has also added that in the course of the current action of charity, the numbers of volunteers was almost two times higher than during the previous one.
