Armenian Ministry of Health reports on reduction of outbreaks of respiratory disease virus

The number of cases of acute respiratory diseases has decreased from 855 down to 799. Meanwhile, 14 people are connected to artificial respiration units, and eight of them are diagnosed with the swine influenza virus (H1N1). This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Health of.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that as of January 13, in Armenia, the death toll of swine influenza reached 11 people. However, the Armenian Ministry of Health denies the swine influenza epidemic.

An official from the Ministry of Health has noted that doctors work in two directions: preventive and curative. He has also added that 10 deaths were caused by delayed addressing for medical help.

Meanwhile, according to the official from the Ministry of Health, "the population has become more cautious, as evidenced by the numerous calls of ambulances."

As of January 12, according to Tagui Stepanyan, Director of Joint-Stock Company (JSC) "Ambulance" in Yerevan, 891 calls for ambulances were received from city residents.
