Resident of Dagestan reports on disappearance of his brother
Gadjimurad Gazichilov, a resident of Makhachkala, disappeared on December 29, 2015. His relatives do not rule out a kidnapping. They note that the disappeared man is a relative of Shamil Nurmagomedov, killed in Dagestan by law enforcers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 27, Shamil Nurmagomedov, who was earlier put on the federal wanted list, was killed during a shootout with law enforcers in the Gunib District. According to the law enforcement bodies, he was the leader of the "Sogratl" militant grouping.
Disappeared Gadjimurad Gazichilov is a second cousin of Shamil Nurmagomedov. Since December 29, relatives of Gadjimurad Gazichilov have no contact with him. At 4:00 p.m. of December 29, Gadjimurad Gazichilov left a gas station, located in Amet-Khan Sultan Street in the Dagestani capital and went along Hungarian Soldiers Street in the direction of the ring. Since that time, he did not get in touch with any friends or relatives. On January 5, this was reported by Shamil Gazichilov, a brother of the disappeared man.
"We believe that Gadjimurad might have been kidnapped by persons affiliated with the law enforcement bodies. We are not aware of the charges against our brother and about his whereabouts. At first, through third parties, we got phrases of law enforcers stating that he was all right, that he would soon be released, and that there were no reasons to worry. However, till present, we have got no information about him," said Shamil Gazichilov.
He does not rule out that his brother might be detained because of his blood relationship with Shamil Nurmagomedov.
