Cherkessk opens concert hall for wheelchair invalids

In Karachay-Cherkessia, the first concert hall, adapted for people with disabilities, has been opened after capital repairs carried out for the first time during the past 37 years.

The total area of the concert hall reaches about 400 square meters. According to the Cherkessk Mayor's Office, the large-scale repairs were carried out during one year.

The concert hall has got 400 seats, and it provides additional space for placement of more than 100 portable chairs or at least 50 wheelchairs. The entrance is equipped with a ramp for disabled categories of citizens, reports the website of the Cherkessk Mayor's Office.

The multi-purpose hall is planned to be used not only as a concert, but also as a cinema hall, the "Interfax" reports with reference to Olesya Mkhtse, the chief of the Media Relations Department of the Cherkessk Mayor's Office.
