Volgograd: tenants of collapsed house complain about unresolved housing problems

Tenants of the multi-storey residential building destroyed by the explosion began receiving payments for priority needs in the amount of 20,000 roubles per family.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 20 an explosion occurred in No. 47 in Kosmonavtov Street, causing a collapse of the flight from the second to the ninth level. After the accident, 12 tenants were hospitalized, and while clearing the rubble, bodies of four persons were found. The whole house was considered dangerous and subject to demolition.

Tatiana Bardykova, a tenant of the third block of the building, has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that she received 20,000 roubles. "We have not yet received another amount of 10,000 roubles, although we have already filed several letters for allocation of the money. Today, I have been invited to a social security agency. Perhaps, they need one more letter of any kind," said Tatiana Bardykova.

According to the woman, her family has got no housing now. "Yet the day before yesterday, at the city administration, I claimed being deprived of housing, and they promised to call back, but did not call. At present, I live at my acquaintances' place, and my son lives at his friends' place. My husband is at the hospital: after the explosion, he was brought to the resuscitation ward," Tatiana Bardykova has said.

Vitaly Melnikov, a tenant of the first block of the building, has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he received 20,000 roubles. "We've made an appointment at the administration of the Dzerzhinsky District with a claim for accommodation. We were called from the administration, and they asked us whether we needed the accommodation or not. However, till present, they did not provide us with any accommodation," said Vitaly Melnikov.

According to Andrei Kondrashov, an owner of the apartment at the first block of the building, his apartment used to accommodate four adults and two minor children. "Now we live at our relatives' place," he has said. "The administration officials claim that they have no places to accommodate us," Andrei Kondrashov has noted.
