ICRF reports on fourth casualty of explosion in Volgograd
In Volgograd, rescuers have found the body of a man, who can be considered the fourth victim killed in the explosion at a nine-storey residential building. This was reported by Natalia Kunitskaya, Press Secretary of the Investigating Department for the Volgograd Region of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 20 an explosion occurred in a residential building in Volgograd, which destroyed a flight of the building from the second up to the ninth levels. Three deaths have been officially confirmed so far.
"The fourth victim, a man, was found by rescuers between the sixth and seventh floors. The body has not been yet removed from the ruins," the Press Secretary of the ICRF's Investigating Department for the Volgograd Region reported at 8:14 a.m. as quoted by the "Interfax".
Meanwhile, a source from the operational headquarters at the place of the incident has reported that the rescuers found a fragment of the body of the deceased man, the "TASS" reports.
"This morning, a fragment of the body of the fourth victim has been found during the clearing of the ruins of the block of the residential building," the expert has noted.
