Nalchik court to hear religious hatred propaganda case

The defendant is a young man, resident in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, who published a book titled "Through the Prism of Islam" under the penname Abd al Hadi ibn Ali. The book was distributed in Nalchik mosques. The indictment mentions the book contains a "flat demand of religious hatred and calls for armed struggle against people of other faiths." In an interview to Caucasian Knot's correspondent, the author of the book said that all the charges against him were far-fetched and that he just quoted the Koran. Now he will have to prove this fact in court.
