ICRF: Blenaova suspected of aiding Zankishiev
Kabardino-Balkaria has opened a criminal case against Inna Blenaova, a resident of Nalchik, on suspicion of collaborating with Robert Zankishiev, the leader of the local branch of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia, who was killed in the course of a special operation conducted on November 10.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 10, power agents blocked a multi-storey building in Nalchik, where, according to their data, Robert Zankishiev and his Muslim wife were hiding. Zankishiev was shot dead during the assault. Blenaova was hospitalized.
According to investigators, "Blenaova knew that Zankishiev was a member of an illegal armed formation (IAF) and was on the federal wanted list."
"Since January 2015, she helped him by providing secret residence in her housing, providing him with foodstuffs, and a possibility to keep firearms, ammunition and explosive devices in her apartment," says the website of the Investigating Department for Kabardino-Balkaria of Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
Let us note here that earlier Blenaova stated that she had not participated in the activities of armed underground and did not support militants.
