Ukrainian MoD finds colonel from Russian base in Gyumri in Donbas
The commander of one of the units fighting for the self-proclaimed People's Republic of Lugansk is Andrei Ruzinskiy, a colonel of the Russian Armed Forces. At the time of the massacre of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri, he was in command of the 102nd Russian military base, stationed in that Armenian city. This was reported by the Chief Intelligence of Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Ukraine.
At night on January 12, in Gyumri, an attack was committed on the Avetisyan family: six members of the family were killed on the spot; and later a baby died in hospital. Valery Permyakov, a Russian soldier was accused of committing the massacre.
According to the above Chief Intelligence of Ukraine, Colonel Ruzinskiy is currently the commander of the second isolated infantry brigade of the second "army corps", which is stationed in the breakaway People's Republic of Lugansk. It is reported that Ruzinskiy had been involved in the events in Gyumri.
