Rostov-on-Don hosts picket in support of "March of Change"
Today, in Rostov-on-Don, about 20 people have held a picket in support of the opposition action "March of Change" held in Moscow. Activists gathered in Builders' Park. In their hand, they were holding posters reading: "Power, respect the Constitution!", "TV reporters, tell the people the truth about truckers!", and "For alternativeness of power!"
"We have come here to express our position in front of the authorities. At present, our country faces a lot of problems. And the authorities do not solve those problems or solve them not efficiently enough. We want to draw the authorities' attention to those problems. So, we went into the streets with posters on various topics," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Yana Goncharova, an organizer of the picket.
According to Alexander Degtyarev, a participant of the protest action, the cause of the problems, voiced by the activists, is in mismanagement. "There are countries that feel good, and they live better than us even without oil, gas, and other resources that we do have. So, the problem is in mismanagement, and managers seem to be appointed for life. And this problem entails all other problems, and that is, we cannot expect the other changes. That is why I have come here today," Alexander Degtyarev has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Four policemen and two men in civilian clothes were standing several meters from the place of the picket, and one of the civilians recorded the picket on video. Prior to the start of the protest action, the organizer was handed "a warning notice concerning the inadmissibility of extremist activity."
