Russian rights defenders express solidarity with Magomed Mutsolgov
Activists of the "Memorial", the Moscow Helsinki Group, the movement "For Human Rights" and other leading Russian human rights organizations have sent a letter in support of Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the "Mashr".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the police of Ingushetia invited Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the human rights organization "Mashr", for questioning within the pre-investigation check. Policemen notified Mutsolgov that they had found photos of child porn in the memory of his computer.
"No slander will stick to you. Falsifiers have been and will remain scoundrels. Hold on, we are with you!" says the letter of Russian rights defenders addressed to Magomed Mutsolgov.
The letter of solidarity, a copy of which was obtained by the "Caucasian Knot", was signed by Oleg Orlov, a member of the board of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial"; Tatiana Kasatkina, the executive director of the HRC "Memorial"; Alexander Cherkasov, the chairman of the board of the HRC "Memorial"; Svetlana Gannushkina, the head of the Committee "Civil Assistance"; Lyudmila Alexeyeva, the chair of the Moscow Helsinki Group; Lev Ponomaryov, the head of the movement "For Human Rights"; and Valery Borschov, a member of the Moscow Helsinki Group.
