Statements of CSI on referendum accepted by Armenian authorities
As reported by the Civil Society Institute (CSI), based on its applications about violations during the December 6 referendum in Armenian, law enforcers are drawing up over 30 materials, on which the CSI's observers are currently giving explanations to law enforcement bodies.
All the violations were posted by the CSI on its official Facebook page and on its website. In total, about a hundred facts are reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 6, Armenia held voting at the referendum on the constitutional reform project. Accoding to the Central Election Commision, the voter turnout reached 50.51%, while 63.35% of the votes gave their voices in favour of the constitutional reform.
Mary Alexanyan, the head of the PR division of the CSI, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they had sent 70 observers who had monitored 35 polling stations in Yerevan.
The revealed violations include impeding the observers' and journalists' activities; pressure and threats against them; manipulations with voters; attempts to repeated voting; voting for other voters, and others.
