Khasiev, executed by IS militants, was not wanted

Magomed Khasiev, who was executed by militants of the "Islamic State" (IS) was not on the list of militants wanted in Syria, said a source from power bodies of Chechnya. According to Ramzan Kadyrov, the alleged killer of Khasiev is a resident of the city of Noyabrsk.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 2 the IS posted a video depicting the execution of a man, who was presented as a native of Grozny and a collaborator with secret services; the clip also contained threats to Russia. The head of Chechnya has confirmed that the executed man was a Chechen, and vowed to avenge him.

According to the above Chechen source, law enforcers had no data that the 23-year-old Magomed Khasiev was a participant of illegal armed formations (IAFs).

Before August 2012, Khasiev was known as Evgeny Yudin; he was born in the village of Yushkovo, Kasli District of the Chelyabinsk Region, Kadyrov said. Then, a woman-resident of Chechnya adopted him.

According to Kadyrov, there is no reason to believe that the executed Chechen was an agent of the Russia's FSB; however, he did not rule out traces of the CIA in the murder of Khasiev.

Local observers say about some circumstantial evidence that, while in Syria, Khasiev could cooperate with Russian intelligence services.
