In Bachi-Yurt, law enforcers detain three villagers, locals report
Law enforcers still have not released three young men, who were detained during the operation in the Chechen village of Bachi-Yurt and who were suspected of setting on fire a banner with portraits of Ramzan Kadyrov's family members. This was reported by local residents. Till present, the information has not been confirmed by the law enforcement bodies or relatives of young people.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to local residents, on November 28, the village of Bachi-Yurt was cordoned off by law enforcers in connection with the fact that a portrait of one of the family members of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov was burned in the village. The law enforcers detained villagers in large numbers and did not lift the cordon until November 29, the local residents report.
According to Umar, a local resident, most of the villagers detained by the law enforcers in Bachi-Yurt were young men.
One of the detainees has claimed that the law enforcers behaved very rudely with the villagers, "insulted and threatened them."
Till present, local human rights defenders have yet received the confirmation that three young men are being kept by the law enforcers, a leader of one of the local NGOs reports.
