The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that about 200 people came to the rally, sanctioned by the Mayor's Office of Rostov-on-Don and held against the introduction of the system "Platon".
The Russian authorities should abolish the system "Platon" until December 4. Otherwise, truck drivers will go to Moscow. This was announced by truck drivers from eight regions of the country after the rally held in Rostov-on-Don.
The rally was organized by the local branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).
In their resolution, the protesters demand to abolish the system for collection of tolls from trucks for the use of federal highways. Besides, they also demand to dismiss Maxim Sokolov, Minister of Transport, and Roman Starovoit, the head of the "Rosavtodor".
At the rally, the protestors have decided by the majority of votes that in case if the system "Platon" is not abolished on December 3, then on December 4, heavy trucks from a number of regions will be "advancing towards Moscow."
It should be noted that the participants of the large-scale protest action of truckers, which takes place in the regions of Russia, claim being ignored by state-controlled TV Channels.
