Organization of Chechen Diaspora in Turkey condemns statements made by Ramzan Kadyrov

Members of the Chechen Diaspora have condemned the position of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who accused the Turkish authorities of supporting terrorism.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 24, the Russian Su-24 bomber from the air group in Syria was attacked by a pair of Turkish F-16 fighters and shot down by an "air-air" missile. According to Turkey, the Su-24 bomber violated its airspace. On November 25, pro-government activists from the movement "Akhmat" in Chechnya held a rally against Turkey. Ramzan Kadyrov has harshly criticized the Turkey's position.

"We want to state that most of the Chechen people living in Turkey support the country, which hosted and provided hospitality to our grandfathers since the 19th century. We are strongly upset by the Ramzan Kadyrov's statements that the attack of the Turkish fighters on the Russian plane is a betrayal and that they are willing to fulfil any Putin's order," reports the statement of the public organization "Cultural Centre 'Caucasus-Chechnya'" posted on the website of the public organization and signed by its leader Murat Demirci.

It should be noted that on November 28, the Chechen leader published on Instagram a statement in which he accused Turkey of supporting terrorists, raising funds for them and organizing their medical treatment.

The Chechen leader has also accused Turkey that the Russian aircraft was "shot down by instructions from the US and the West."
