Lawyer lodges complaint against Kabardino-Balkarian Interior Ministry

On June 24, lawyer Iskhak Kuchukov lodged a complaint to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria about actions of the republican interior ministry. The fact of the matter is that the ministry has not implemented a decision of the Nalchik City Court concerning the deportation of Hajji Bayram Bolat, a Turkish citizen, from Kabardino-Balkaria in August 2003. The court declared Hajji Bayram Bolat's deportation illegal and obliged the republican interior ministry to prolong his residential permit. However this decision has remained unimplemented. Hajji Bayram Bolat, a philologist and scientist, told the Caucasian Knot correspondent via phone that he was going to return to Russia and hoped it would be for good.
