Saigidpasha Umakhanov appointed Dagestani Minister of Transport

Saigidpasha Umakhanov, ex-Mayor of Khasavyurt, has been officially appointed the head of the Ministry of Transport, Energy and Communications for Dagestan, created by restructuring of a number of public institutions. This was reported by Telman Radjabov, a press officer of the Ministry.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Ministry of Transport, Energy and Communications was created by Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov on November 23. The new agency has been created on the basis of the Ministry of Communications and Telecommunications and the Energy Agency, and it is partially delegated the functions of the Dagestani Agency of Transport.

On September 23, at the session of the Khasavyurt City Council, Saigidpasha Umakhanov announced his resignation. He was re-elected the head of the City Council, and Zainutdin Okmazov was appointed the Mayor of Khasavyurt.
