Copies of book written by Nadezhda Savchenko seized from her sister on Ukrainian-Russian border

Two packs of copies of the book, written by Nadezhda Savchenko, are seized from her sister Vera Savchenko at the Russian-Ukrainian border. This was reported by advocate Ilya Novikov. According to him, the book will be checked for extremism.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier advocates of Nadezhda Savchenko announced that Vera Savchenko, who was declared the sole witness for the defence in Nadezhda Savchenko case, was denied entry into Russia. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) expressed its protest in connection with the above fact; however, on October 19, it became known that Vera Savchenko was allowed to enter the territory of Russia.

Today, advocate Ilya Novikov has reported about new troubles faced by Vera Savchenko at the Russian-Ukrainian border.

"Vera Savchenko faces troubles again at the Russian-Ukrainian border. They have confiscated two packs of books, written by Nadezhda, and they will check the books for extremism," Ilya Novikov wrote in his Twitter.

On November 8, the presentation of the confiscated book took place in Ukraine. Nadezhda Savchenko started to write her autobiography after 40 days of hunger strike in Russia, the "News of Donbas" reports.

According to Vera Savchenko, they plan to publish the book in English. She has also expressed hope that the book will also be translated into Russian and published in Russia, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
