Court arrests in absentia suspected organizer of Boris Nemtsov's murder
The Basmanny Court of Moscow has issued in absentia a warrant for arrest of Ruslan Mukhudinov, an officer of the battalion "Sever" (North), accused of the organization of the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 6, the investigators filed charges of the organization of the Boris Nemtsov's murder against Ruslan Mukhudinov in absentia. On November 16, Ruslan Mukhudinov was put on the internationally wanted list.
When justifying the request for arrest of Ruslan Mukhudinov, Sergey Zhdanov, an investigator of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), stated that Ruslan Mukhudinov "fled from investigators to the United Arab Emirates with a false passport." "Meanwhile, he was summoned to take part in the investigative actions, and he failed to appear. Besides, he is accused of a particularly serious crime, and the charge has already been filed against him. The guilt of Ruslan Mukhudinov is proved by collected facts of evidence, testimonies, and other evidences of the crime," Sergey Zhdanov has stated.
Advocate Musa Khadisov has protested against the arrest of the defendant and questioned the arguments of the investigators.
The arrest term is two months from the moment of his detention, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Besides, at the court session, the Court has read out the case materials, stating that the investigators attempted to serve summon to Ruslan Geremeev, another former fighter of the battalion "Sever".
