Armenian opposition intends to regain society's rust

The Armenian opposition faces the task to increase the degree of credibility among the population of the country. This opinion was expressed by Zhirair Sefilyan, the leader of the Front of National Salvation "New Armenia" and the leader of the movement "100 years without Regime".

Zhirair Sefilyan associates the decline in the credibility of the opposition forces in the country with the fact that in recent years, the opposition has repeatedly mobilized the population to fight against the authorities, but limited its activities to rallies only. However, according to Zhirair Sefilyan, it is still incorrect to talk about the complete absence of trust to the opposition.

Political analyst Andrias Gukasyan, a member of the Board of the civil movement "Arise, Armenia!", believes that the decline of the degree of public trust to the Armenian opposition, and in particular, the parliamentary opposition, is connected with the irresolute actions of the oppositionists and their loyalty to the usurpation of power in the country.

According to Levon Barsegyan, Chairman of the "Asparez" Journalists' Club in Gyumri, the Armenian opposition has no potential to bring people out into the streets.

"The lack of any roadmap is one of the weaknesses of the opposition. In recent years, the key idea of the opposition remains unchanged: to go out into the streets, the government will resign, and then all the people will go home. Meanwhile, none of the opposition forces has clear understanding how to achieve the change of power," Levon Barsegyan has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the journalist, in order to succeed, the opposition should develop the tactics of its activities.
