Dagestani MIA to investigate dispersal of rally held by "Party of Russian Veterans"

During the meeting with citizens in Buynaksk, Abdurashid Magomedov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, met MPs from the "Party of Russian Veterans" and promised to investigate the circumstances of the dispersal of their meetings with voters.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 16, deputies of the City Council of Buynaksk from the "Party of Russian Veterans" decided to hold a meeting with city residents. However, law enforcers used special means to disperse the people, and seven deputies were injured.

On November 5, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan met citizens at the administration of Buynaksk. The meeting was attended by members of the "Party of Russian Veterans". They have discussed with the Minister the incident, which they treat as the beating of deputies by policemen during the dispersal of their meeting with voters. This was reported by Marat Dzhankhaev, one of the deputies of the Buynaksk City Council.

According to the deputy, Abdurashid Magomedov has promised that he "will carefully examine the facts of the case and take actions against the guilty persons."

The deputies also sent a letter to Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Russian Minister of Internal Affairs. In their letter, the deputies ask the Minister to take punitive measures against the policemen involved in the dispersal of the meeting.
