Relatives of Rizvan Mataev find him at Khasavyurt ROVD

Relatives of Rizvan Mataev, a resident of the Khasavyurt District, detained on November 2, have managed to reveal his whereabouts. According to them, he is being kept at the ROVD (District Interior Division). Law enforcers check Rizvan Mataev to reveal his possible connections with members of illegal armed formations (IAFs).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that family members of Rizvan Mataev failed to locate him after his detention.

Rizvan Mataev is being kept at the building of the Khasavyurt ROVD. This was reported on November 3 by Ramazan Mataev, a detainee's brother. According to him, he is not aware of the suspicion against Rizvan Mataev; however, according to Ramazan, his brother was severely beaten.

The detainee's relatives plan to appeal to human rights defenders for help.

Officials from the Khasavyurt ROVD have confirmed the detention of Rizvan Mataev and reported that he is being checked for his possible connections with IAF members.
