CTO legal regime cancelled in six districts of Dagestan
Today, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime has been cancelled in the territories of Derbent, Kurakh, Magaramkent, Suleiman-Stalsky, Tabasaran, and Khiv Districts of Dagestan. This was reported by an official from the operational headquarters for Dagestan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 18 and 19, law enforcers found bodies of five killed local residents in the forests of the Suleiman-Stalsky District. A summer militants' camp was discovered not far from the place of the murder. At 0:00 a.m. Moscow time of September 28, in connection with the search for militants, the CTO legal regime was introduced in the territories of Kurakh, Magaramkent, Suleiman-Stalsky, Tabasaran, and Khiv Districts of Dagestan, which covered the territory with a population of about 200,000 people. On October 15, the CTO legal regime was introduced within the administrative boundaries of the Derbent District.
"At 11:00 a.m. of October 27, the CTO legal regime was cancelled," an official from of the operational headquarters for Dagestan reports as quoted by the "Interfax".
It should be noted that residents of the south of Dagestan reported no restrictions in the residential settlements in the CTO area. Residents of the Derbent District also reported no restrictions under the CTO legal regime.
