Prosecutor's Office sends to court case against unit of "Hizb ut-Tahrir" in Dagestan
The case against two residents of Dagestan and a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, accused of creating in Dagestan a unit of the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir" recognized as a terrorist, is sent to the North-Caucasian District Military Court.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2013, in Dagestan, as a result of the special operation, law enforcers detained suspected leaders of a Dagestani unit of the "Hizb ut-Tahrir" and Kazimzhan Sheraliev, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, who was called by law enforcers as an international agent of the organization.
The Dagestani Prosecutor's Office has approved the indictment in the criminal case against Kazimzhan Sheraliev and against Shamil Ramazanov and Umar Nikiforov, two residents of Dagestan.
Investigators have found out that in the period from no later than 2008 and before their detention in December 2013, Shamil Ramazanov, Umar Nikiforov, Kazimzhan Sheraliev, and other persons established in the territory of Dagestan a stable unit of the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir".
According to the investigators, those people were engaged in active spreading of the ideas of the "Hizb ut-Tahrir", recruitment and involvement of new members in the ranks of the organization; and they promoted the negative attitude toward the state structure of Russia.
