In Buynaksk, deputies complain to Prosecutor's Office about dispersal of meeting with voters
In Dagestan, the deputies, representing the "Party of Veterans of Russia" in the Buynaksk City Council, have filed a complaint to the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office about the actions of the law enforcers, who did not allow them holding the meeting with voters in the centre of the city. Deputies demand to bring to justice the persons guilty of the incident.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 16, law enforcers cordoned off the central square of Buynaksk, where the administration was located, to prevent the meeting of public activists and deputies of the City Council from the "Party of Veterans of Russia". As a result, the police did not allow holding the meeting.
According to Gasan Malikov, a deputy of the Buynaksk City Council from the "Party of Veterans of Russia", the deputies decided to hold a meeting in connection with the requests received from their voters in late September.
Gasan Malikov has noted that the deputies had to hold the meeting in the central square, since they were not allowed to invite the voters to the hall of the city administration; however, the meeting was anyway disrupted.
The deputy has explained that within a month, the deputies from the "Party of Veterans of Russia" intend to raise the issue on the dismissal of Buynaksk Mayor Gusein Gamzatov from his post.
