Ramzan Kadyrov mentions Aslan Baisultanov, detained in Moscow, among killed IS militants
On October 8, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov mentioned Aslan Baisultanov, detained on October 11 in Moscow on suspicion of plotting a terror act, among the militants killed in Grozny. The Chechen leader himself has explained his statement by the fact that he made it "without delay".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 11, in Moscow, the FSB officers detained 10 people suspected of involvement in the plotting of a terror act. According to law enforcers, the detainees were trained in Syria in camps of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia. On October 13, the court pronounced the decision to take into custody three suspects, including Aslan Baisultanov.
On October 8, in Grozny, three militants were killed, who, according to the law enforcement bodies, were trained in the IS camps and who were plotting the commitment of a major terror act in Grozny on the Day of City. The commanders of the special operation reported on the discovery of three passports at the place of the special operation, including the passport on the name of Baisultanov, wrote Ramzan Kadyrov on his page on Instagram on October 13.
"As a result of the further activities of the operational investigative team, it was found out that the number of the killed militants did not include Baisultanov. The summary of incidents, prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and sent several hours later from Grozny to the Russian MIA and FSB, reported that the name of the killed man was not Baisultanov, but Bashanaev," the "Gazeta.ru" quotes Ramzan Kadyrov as stating.
