ICRF detects Dagestani trace in criminal case against two IS supporters in Yugra
The case against Rizvan Agashirinov and Abdula Magomedaliev has been brought to the court. According to investigators, the suspects were plotting a terror act in a mosque in the town of Pyt-Yakh in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra. The suspects purchased weapons in Dagestan. This was reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
According to the ICRF, in the period of October 2013-April 2014, being members of the organized criminal grouping in the territory of Turkey and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra, Rizvan Agashirinov and Abdula Magomedaliev were plotting a terror act against mosque-goers. Besides, the investigators found out that on April 25, 2014, the defendants attempted to commit a terror act with the use of an improvised explosive device (IED).
The investigators have revealed that the instructions to commit a terror act in a mosque came from a supporter of the radical Islamist views, hiding in Turkey.
Four other suspected members of the criminal grouping Valekh Amiraliev, Shamil Kadashov, Ilya Plotnikov, and Abdula Magomedov are put on the international wanted list.
