CTO regime in Gimry village cancelled
The operational headquarters for Dagestan has cancelled the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime in the village of Gimry of the Untsukul District, where law enforcers launched a special operation on 10 October.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to law enforcers, a group of armed men was blocked in a house in the village of Gimry. After the special operation, it was reported on the killings of three suspected militants and one FSB fighter.
"At 11:30 a.m. Moscow time, the CTO regime was cancelled in connection with the completion of all operational activities," the "TASS" quotes an officer from of the Dagestani operational headquarters of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) as reporting.
Magomed Gamzatov, a field investigator of the division for support of operational activities of Russian FSB Department for Dagestan, was fatally wounded during the talks with militants, the newspaper "Kommersant" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies.
According to the law enforcers, killed 24-year-old Ruslan Ibragimov, 27-year-old Akhmed Abdurakhmanov, and 27-year-old Shamil Shamilov were members of the local grouping of militants, and they were involved in a number of crimes, including attempts on law enforcers and acts of extortion of large amounts of money from entrepreneurs.
