Tsumada District becomes CTO zone for the second time in 2015
The special operation in the Tsumada District of Dagestan was preceded by an attack of unidentified persons on policemen. Earlier, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime had been introduced in this August.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, at 6:00 a.m. Moscow time, the CTO legal regime was introduced within the entire territory of the Tsumada District.
The special operation in the Tsumada District was launched a week after the incident near the village of Kvanada. On October 8, unidentified attackers opened fire on the car, in which policemen were hurrying to a place of an official task. As a result of the attack, a policeman got a severe gunshot wound.
Earlier, law enforcers had introduced the CTO legal regime in the Tsumada District on August 4. According to Magomedrasul Gagiev, the deputy head of the administration of the Tsumada District, law enforcers were searching for militants near the village of Echeda. The CTO legal regime was cancelled on August 14.
The population of the Tsumada District exceeds 23,000 people.
