Court arrests Makhachkala resident Omar Magomedov

Omar Magomedov, a detained resident of Makhachkala, has been arrested for two months. According to the Soviet ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala, Omar Magomedov has been formally charged.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 30, advocate Elena Denisenko complained about non-admission to Omar Magomedov, a resident of Makhachkala, detained by law enforcers. According to her, members of the Dagestani Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) also failed to visit Omar Magomedov. Zagra Goshtadu, the mother of the detainee, contacted the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" with an appeal, in which she asked to "help stop the torture."

On October 1, the pre-trial restriction measure was pronounced against Omar Magomedov in the form of detention in custody for two months, until December 1, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by advocate Elena Denisenko.

According to the advocate, only yesterday, on October 1, she managed to see her client for the first time at the courthouse.

The advocate has noted that during the consideration of the pre-trial restriction measure in the court, it was revealed that "one of the protocols of interrogation, when Omar Magomedov had been questioned in the presence of Kurban Yusupov, his other advocate by agreement, disappeared from the case materials." According to advocate Elena Denisenko, the above mentioned protocol of the interrogation contains the Omar Magomedov's report on the use of torture against him.
