During the week of September 21-27, 2015, no victims to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus were reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Special and counterterrorist operations

At 5:00 a.m. Moscow time of September 22, a regime of counterterrorist operation (CTO) was introduced in the village of Zayukovo of the Baksan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). Law enforcers were searching for militants in the forest behind the village of Zayukovo. At 1:45 p.m. Moscow time, the CTO regime was cancelled, since the law enforcers found in Zayukovo no members of illegal armed formations (IAF).

At 11:00 a.m. Moscow time of September 25, the CTO regime introduced on September 15 in the Gunib District of Dagestan was cancelled. Law enforcers reported that as a result of their activities, they discovered and destroyed several militants' summer camps, dugouts, and hidings with equipment, food, and ammunition. However, later on the same day, an official from the law enforcement bodies reported that the search for members of IAFs in the region was still underway.

Bombings and terror acts

At night of September 19, an explosion occurred in the yard of the house of Magomed Buzurtanov, the former Chief Physician of the Malgobek Central Republican Hospital (CRH) in Ingushetia, who became involved in the case of embezzlement of budget funds on a large scale. A crater was formed at the place of the explosion, and the windows in the house were damaged. This was reported by Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the human rights organization "Mashr". Till present, there is no official confirmation of the information about the explosion.

Detentions

On September 22, while checking the operational information in the village of Tsa-Vedeno of the Vedeno District of the Chechen Republic, law enforcers detained a 29-year-old local resident at the place of his residence. According to the law enforcement bodies, in the autumn of 2014, the detainee left for Turkey, and in the period from November 2014 to July 2015, he was aiding and abetting militants on their way to Syria. In particular, he provided them with temporary housing. According to a police officer, several months ago, Israpilov returned home. After his return to Chechnya, he tried to form a criminal grouping of his villagers and residents of the Vedeno District.

On September 23, in the course of the investigative and search activities, policemen found in the house of a 60-year-old resident of the village of Kurchaloi in Chechnya a homemade pistol with magazine, ammunition, and components for manufacturing and repairing firearms. The policemen also seized several machines. According to the law enforcement bodies, the man used the machines to manufacture combat weapons from traumatic ones.

On September 24, law enforcers of Karachay-Cherkessia detained nine residents of the republic and of the Stavropol Territory. The law enforcers seized from the detainees' places dozens of their pistols, submachine guns, and more than 100 rounds of ammunition. The operation was conducted by staff members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the FSB Department for Karachay-Cherkessia. According to them, the suspects were engaged in selling weapons and ammunition to members of criminal groupings in Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and the Stavropol Territory. Besides, field investigators have destroyed a workshop for repairing and manufacturing of weapons, which was discovered at the place of residence of a member of the criminal grouping.
