CTO regime cancelled in Baksan District of KBR

Law enforcers have found no members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) in the village of Zayukovo, and in that regard, the regime of counterterrorist operation (CTO) was canceled at 1:45 p.m. Moscow time, the operative headquarters for KBR reports.

Today, at 5:00 a.m. Moscow time, the CTO regime has been introduced in the Baksan District. According to a source from the law enforcement bodies, quoted by the RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria", in the vicinity of the village of Zayukovo, law enforcers encountered militants, who took refuge in a dugout and opened fire on them. However, at about 1:25 p.m. Moscow time, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a source from the law enforcement bodies that "the information about the fire contact did not correspond to reality."

At 2:00 p.m. Moscow time, the operative headquarters for KBR announced the termination of the CTO regime.

According to a source from the secret services of KBR, special forces conducted reconnaissance in the forest near the village of Zayukovo.

"It appeared to be impossible to find a militants' camp in the detected area. At present, units are returning to their bases," the RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria" quotes the source as stating.
