Investigators agree to re-examine Permyakov
Advocates will be present during the repeated forensic-psychological and forensic-psychiatric examinations of Valery Permyakov, accused of massacring the Avetisyan family in Gyumri, said the Armenian Investigating Committee.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 12, in Gyumri, six members of the Avetisyan family were assassinated. A Russian regular soldier Valery Permyakov was arrested as a suspect of committing the massacre. On August 12 the Russian Garrison Military Court convicted Permyakov on charges of desertion, theft and illegal possession of firearms to 10 years in a high security colony.
The fact that the Armenian Investigating Committee agreed with the demands of advocates to hold re-examination of Permyakov was reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Lusine Saakyan, who is defending the successors of the Avetisyan family.
"Doctors will examine Permyakov as an outpatient, most probably, in the territory of the 102nd Russian military base, where the accused is kept," said Ms Saakyan, adding that the dates of examinations are not regulated by the law.
