The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that opposition politician Boris Nemtsov was killed in Moscow on February 27. The investigators believe that Zaur Dadaev is the killer. Dadaev has retracted his confession and claimed that he had made it under torture. According to the defendant, Rustam Yusupov, his colleague from the battalion "Sever" (North), was detained together with him, and power agents demanded from Zaur Dadaev to confess to the murder of Boris Nemtsov and promised to release Rustam Yusupov. The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has made a decision not to institute criminal proceedings on the Zaur Dadaev's complaint.
Shamsudin Tsakaev, an advocate of Zaur Dadaev, has stated that the investigator's decision to refuse in initiating criminal proceedings was unlawful. In his turn, Zaur Dadaev requested the Court re-interrogate him and Rustam Yusupov, the "TASS" reports.
The prosecutor asked to dismiss the complaint and assured the Court that no violations had been committed during the Zaur Dadaev's detention, as evidenced by the warrant to the defendant's arrest. The Court agreed with the prosecutor and dismissed the Zaur Dadaev's complaint, the "Interfax" reports.
