Krasnodar Territory: elections of all levels involve about 5500 candidates

In Kuban, 118 candidates run for the posts of heads of rural and 27 urban communities. 2803 persons have been nominated for candidates to deputies of representative bodies of municipalities and rural communities; and, according to the Election Commission of the Krasnodar Territory, 566 candidates have been nominated to the Krasnodar City Duma. Five persons run for the post of the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, and one of the candidates is rejected by the regional administration because of failure to pass the "municipal filter". This was reported by "The Vote", the movement for the rights of voters.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the voting within the elections of the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory and deputies to the Krasnodar City Duma of new convocation is scheduled for September 13, a single day of voting.

Six candidates are nominated for the post of the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory. They are: Viktor Ponomaryov, a member of the "Social Security" Party, Andrei Rudenko, a State Duma deputy from the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party, Sergey Fisyuk nominated by the regional office of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), Mikhail Abramyan from the "Communists of Russia" Party, Nikolai Osadchiy, First Secretary of the regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), and Veniamin Kondratyev, Acting Governor of the Krasnodar Territory from the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party. Abramyan has become the only candidate who failed to pass the municipal filter.

According to the movement "The Vote", the administration of the Krasnodar Territory and the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party have made a political decision and helped Viktor Ponomaryov, Andrei Rudenko, Sergey Fisyuk, and Nikolai Osadchiy to collect the required number of signatures.

Meanwhile, the "PARNAS" Party, the "Great Motherland" Party, the "Russian Revival Party", and the "Party of Veterans of Russia" have failed to register any candidates.
