Video clip with oath to IS found extremist
The Sovietskiy District Court of Makhachkala has found extremism in the video clip posted on the Internet and calling to join the "Islamic State" (IS), recognized as a terrorist organization by the court.
The Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan has found the clip on the video hosting YouTube and decided that it contains public statements and calls for terrorist activities aimed at inciting hatred on grounds of nationality and religion, as well as the justification of terrorism.
The Office sent a lawsuit to the court on recognizing the clip as an extremist material; and on August 13 the Sovietskiy District Court of Makhachkala satisfied the suit in full, says the website of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that residents of the Caucasus, including the North-Caucasian republics of Russia, are joining the fighters for the proclaimed IS.
This summer it was reported that North-Caucasian militants had sworn allegiance to the leader of the IS Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi; and the IS announced the establishment of its branch in the region under the command of Abu Muhammad (Rustam Asilderov), the head of Dagestani militants.
