Eyewitnesses of special operation in Dagestan report night shootout
Residents of the settlement of Vremenny of the Untsukul District of Dagestan report that the shelling of the venue of the special operation in the Untsukul District lasted until today's morning.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 10 the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the Untsukul District of Dagestan. On August 11, the NAC announced that four militants had been killed and a special agent had been wounded. According to the NAC, the death toll included Magomed Suleimanov, who since April 2015 was the leader of "Imarat Kavkaz", which was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia.
Khadizhat M., a resident of Vremenny, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the shelling of the place of the special operation lasted till about 7 a.m.
"Almost all the villagers spent the night in the street: they were scared. In the darkness, we saw bright flashes. We heard the roar of cannon fire. We didn't see helicopters, but heard their noise," said the local resident.
Khadizhat said that she did not see any crashed helicopter in the area of the special operation – in the morning on August 12 this information was spread by the information resources, supporting the local underground.
According to a resident of Gimry, it is quiet in Vremenny and Gimry; however, local residents may leave and enter these dwelling settlements only by the lists, kept at the checkpoint.
