Derbent residents report water supply outage

The information about the absence of water in the upper part of Derbent arrived on August 9 at 4:40 p.m. at the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot". "At the air temperature of plus 40 degrees, the upper part of Derbent is without water for a week, although Gamdullaev, the director of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise (MUE) 'Vodokanal' has reported to the President's envoy about the round-the-clock water supply to this part of the city," wrote the author of the message.

As explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Salikh Ramazanov, the head of Housing and Communal Services of the Administration of Derbent, the problems with water to a number of districts in the uptown had to do with the reconstruction of the electric grid.

The official promised to restore the water supply to the above districts of Derbent tonight.

A resident of Derbent named Murad, who lives in the so-called "magals" – private houses in the northern part of the city, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that his house had no water supply since August 7.
