"Kommersant": ICRF accuses Andrei Vinogradov of financing terrorism

Andrei Vinogradov, the head of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan, has been charged with the financing of terrorism, aiding in an attempted murder of a policeman and an attempted murder of an official of the city administration, the "Kommersant" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Andrei Vinogradov was detained at night on July 27. On July 29, the Moscow Basmanny Court ordered the arrest Vinogradov. Murtazaliev is officially on sick leave; and, according to unofficial sources, he went abroad.

The lawyer Aziz Kurbanov, who is defending Andrei Vinogradov, said that his client rejects all the indictment points.

Let us remind you that according to the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov, the republic is in process of "cleansing the power." This was his comment on the criminal prosecution of high-ranking officials Sagid Murtazaliev and Andrei Vinogradov. In their turn, the experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent associated the arrests and searches of officials in Dagestan with the forthcoming election of the Mayor of Makhachkala.
