Polyudova's case sent to Krasnodar court

The Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory has approved the indictment to the Krasnodar activist Darya Polyudova and transferred her case to the court.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Polyudova was one of the organizers of the action "March for Kuban Federalization", which did not take place in August 2014 and was directed against Russia policy in relation to Ukraine. She refuses to plead guilty. After the case was again returned to the investigator because of violations in it, new examinations were appointed. The last one – the examination of Polyudova's records in social networks – has confirmed the presence of appeals to overthrow the constitutional order in her accounts.

On August 4, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory spread information about the approval of the indictment and transfer the case to the court; however, the date of the start of the trial was not specified.

The "Solidarity Union with Political Prisoners" has recognized Polyudova as a political prisoner; and the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" has also included her into the list of 46 political prisoners.
