Law enforcers search for militants on Chechen-Ingush border
In the area of the administrative Chechen-Ingush border, where a major special operation was conducted, a search for militants continues.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 2 law enforcers stated the killing of eight militants in the course of a special operation conducted near the village of Dattykh, Sunzha District of Ingushetia. Among those killed they name Adam Tagilov, considered to be the organizer of the attack of Chechen militants on Grozny in December 2014.
"In the vicinity of the Chechen-Ingush administrative border, the special operation aimed at searching and neutralizing members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) continues. It is not excluded that several bandits managed to escape; and one of them may be wounded. Also, operative actions are carried out to establish militants' helpers," a power agent told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Locals report movements of large forces of power agents and that military helicopters take part in the special operation.
"Starting yesterday, we see a significantly increase of power agents here. My relative who works in the police said that they are searching for militants on the border and advised me not to go to the forest, in order not to have problems with power agents," a resident of the Achkhoi-Martan District named Yunadi told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
