Administration of Kizlyar District searched

In the course of searching the administration of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan, law enforcers confiscated documents, said a source from the administration.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the Basmanny Court of Moscow has ruled to arrest Andrei Vinogradov, the head of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan, a suspect of murders and financing terrorism.

The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported that Vinogradov and his relative Sagid Murtazaliev, the head of the Dagestani Branch of the Russian Pension Fund (RPF), are accused of several crimes, including murders, attempted murders and financing terrorism. According to law enforcers, Murtazaliev is hiding in Dubai and will be put on the wanted list.

Employees of the Dagestani Branch of the RPF have appealed to President Vladimir Putin asking him to interfere into the situation around Murtazaliev, said Albina Sunkulieva, the press secretary of the Branch.

"A decent man is accused of committing unimaginable crimes. Sagid Murtazaliev is known throughout Dagestan as one of the most ardent fighters against extremism and terrorism," says the appeal.

Meanwhile, supporters of Murtazaliev and Vinogradov have gathered in the village of Averyanovka, Kizlyar District of Dagestan.
