"Rosbalt": investigators do not rule out links of murders of Nemtsov and Yamadaev
An investigator engaged in the murder of Boris Nemtsov has sent a request for interrogation of the banker German Gorbuntsov, who was a witness in the murder of Ruslan Yamadaev, the "Rosbalt" has reported today, citing its source. The banker has agreed to take part in investigatory actions, says the "Rosbalt".
According to the source of the "Rosbalt", back in 2012, Gorbuntsov sent his confession to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), stating that he had witnessed several of his business partners talking to some Chechens about organizing an attack on Alexander Antonov, a co-owner of the "Converse -Group".
An attempt on Antonov was committed by three residents of Chechnya – Aslanbek Dadaev, Elim Pasha Khatsuev and Timur Isaev, who were later convicted for killing Ruslan Yamadaev, the former commander of the battalion "Vostok" (East) of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff (known as GRU), the "Rosbalt" has reported today.
According to the source, investigators fixed the talks of Elim Pasha Khatsuev with some "high-ranking official of the Chechen Republic," which were held after the murder of Ruslan Yamadaev.
The same "high-ranking Chechen official" was also a contact of Ruslan Geremeev, a former officer of the Chechen battalion "Sever" (North), who is now wanted for the murder of Nemtsov, says the source. According to his version, the talks were also attended by Zaur Dadaev, who is regarded by investigators to be a direct perpetrator of Nemtsov's murder.
