Defence in Nasir Javadov's case insists on questioning policemen

The court has scheduled a new consideration of the case of Nasir Javadov, a resident of Dagestan, who died during interrogation, for July 30. The defence hopes that new judges will be able to attract the policemen, whom they could not interrogate earlier.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 17, 2015, the Magaramkent District Court of Dagestan decided to stop the case of Nasir Javadov, accused of illegal arms circulation, because of his death. Javadov's relatives are trying to achieve his complete acquittal. On June 30, the Supreme Court of Dagestan sent the case for retrial by another composition of the court.

The entrepreneur Nasir Javadov (Primov) was detained on September 21, 2013, on suspicion of organizing the assassination of Abrek Gadjiev, the head of the Magaramkent District. According to investigators, during a search in Javadov's garage they found three automatic a rifle and three charged submachine guns. On the same day Javadov died in the building of the MIA of Dagestan.

The appeal of Javadov's relatives was partially satisfied by the Supreme Court of Dagestan, said Elena Denisenko, who is defending the Javadov family.

On June 17, Nasir's mother sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking to punish those responsible for her son's murder, said Niyaz Javadov, the casualty's brother. Despite the "irrefutable proofs and evidence of Nasir's violent death," no criminal case on his murder was ever opened, the letter is emphasizing.
