"Kommersant": suspects in Nemtsov's murder case to undergo psychological and psychiatric examination

The psychological and psychiatric examination of the defendants in this case will help to establish the motive of Boris Nemtsov's murder. It should reveal whether the perpetrators acted for hire or because religion-motivated hatred, the "Kommersant" reports.

This week, all the five suspects will be screened at the Moscow Clinical Psychiatric Hospital No. 1 named after Alexeev. Experts, in particular, will try to answer whether the suspects are religious fanatics who can kill a man for his statements or political position.

Let us remind you that earlier the spokesman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) said that investigators consider the Nemtsov's attitude to the execution of employees of the "Charlie Hebdo" as the reason for his murder.

Should the examination find the defendants to be normally balanced people with stable psyche, then Ruslan Geremeev and his driver Ruslan Mukhudinov, who are also figuring in the case, may be charged in absentia with organizing the above contract killing.
