Shamil Khadulaev links attack on him with earlier threats

Shamil Khadulaev, a member of the Public Chamber of Dagestan, who underwent surgery after a gunshot wound received in the Rostov Region, said that he personally knows the gunman. According to his story, a year ago, he received threats.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 6 Khadulaev told that he had been attacked with a knife and a traumatic pistol by the driver of a car that picked him up to Rostov-on-Don on his personal business.

Today, in his page on the social network Facebook, Khadulaev gave new details of the incident, and, in particular, characterized the attacker.

"As for the gunman, I know him personally... What is written in 'Chernovik' about my last statement (on July 7, 2014) to the police about the threat to my life, and this attack – they are links of one and the same chain," Shamil wrote on the Facebook.

On July 6, the Dagestani edition "Chernovik" recalled that back on July 7, 2014, Khadulaev addressed the Sovietskiy ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala with an application about received threats. "But the case was closed without consideration," the "Chernovik" quotes Khadulaev.
