Mukhammad Suleimanov appointed Amir of "Imarat Kavkaz", militants confirm

After more than a month after the dissemination of the information about the new leader of the "Imarat Kavkaz", militants have reported on appointment of Mukhammad Suleimanov, also known as Abu Usman of Gimry.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 19-20, in the course of the armed clashes in the suburb of Buynaksk, Aliaskhab Kebekov, the leader of the "Imarat Kavkaz", recognized in Russia and the United States as a terrorist organization, was killed. In late May, informed sources reported that Mukhammad Suleimanov (Abu Usman of Gimry), the Sharia judge of the militants and the leader of the armed underground in Dagestan, had become the new leader of the "Imarat Kavkaz".

On July 5, one of the websites supporting the North-Caucasian militants reported on the appointment of Mukhammad Suleimanov the Amir of the "Imarat Kavkaz".

It should be noted that on July 3, one of the websites of the armed underground of Dagestan published a voice message on behalf of Said Arakan, another militant leader, who swore allegiance to Abu Usman of Gimry. The author of the audio message urges militants to rally around Abu Usman of Gimry.
